Review

Hi guys, today I'm going to do a review for Bhiner X Cosplay X Taobao Agent. They are a sort of shopping service which helps you to find and get what you need from Taobao. Taobao is a sort of chinese ebay, where you can find different stores that sell different products. If you have any problem or if you need help you can send an email or a a message on their FB page, Bhiner team will kindly help you ! The communication with them is super fast and they always answer you in a polite and helpful way, their team is adorable and lovely! I received many costumes from them and I always had a super nice experience !

DISCLAIMER:I'm going to review a cosplay sold by a Taobao store , Bhiner only searched and shipped it to me ! In case you will be not satisfy with a product, you should complain about it with the store, Bhiner is not responsable of a faulty or a poor item.

The package arrived without problems and in a very short time (usually when you order something from China you need to wait alot, but my package arrived more or less 3 weeks ). The costume arrived in a cardboard box and inside it the costume was protected by a regular sealed plastic bag. I have nothing in particular to say about this point.

I researched and selected my favourite costumes from Taobao and I sent the links to Bhiner. I have some favourite stores from Taobao and I know which of them provide high quality costumes. The one that sells Okita Cosplay is, in particular, one of my favourites. After giving a look to the reviews from others custumers and I asked to Bhiner if they could provide me that specific item. This time I was quite sure that the costume would have been an high quality item!

Parts of the costume :

🌸The teal green "Haori"
🌸a white sleeveless "kimono" ( I don't think this type of kimono actually exist in real life but is more an original design gave to the character)
🌸a white ribbon (“Obijime” that is usually tied around the “Obi” )
🌸the black "obi", that is sewed together with the teal green "Obiage" (The "Obiage" is a rectangular piece of fabric placed above the obi, usually used in the tying of “musubi” = bow on the backside of the Obi. In this costume the store just designed a false obiage already attached to the obi )
🌸A white rope cord with a little rope decoration (this is supposed to be tied behind your back, twined on your bust and the small decoration is supposed to go on your shoulders)
🌸a big black bow for the "Obi" ( “musubi”. Once again they make it easier for us, since they created a removable ribbon)
🌸a pair of shinguards made of leather
🌸a pair of black sleeves
forearms guards made of leather

🌸a black scarf
🌸a black little bow as hair decoration.

The dress arrived also with a pair of black stockings included, but Okita's stockings are a full piece with her sandals. I decided to modify a pair of stockings and a pair of flip-flops ( I used only the sole ) to create a open-toed shoes. The stockings have a hole on the heel and on the fingers area, I added clip buttons to the stockings and to the shoes sole ( where the feet touch the shoes ) so I can easily remove the shoes from them.

The costume in general is well made, nothing in particular to say about the fabric quality or the seams, a decent realization and regular fabrics. On both the white "Kimono" and on the "Obi" you'll find some little strings to tie them ( I suggest you to sew velcro straps on the obi edges since it would be easier to put it on instead of tie it).

The only “problem” I found with this costume was related to the white sleeveless kimono. Once again the costume was a little bit too big under the arm area. This is a problem I usually find when I receive costumes from many of my sponsors: the measurments are correct in all the parts of the costume except for the arms area. I think it's a problem related to the pattern used, which is probably designed in a “strange” way and the final costume comes out always too big around that area. It's not a big deal since is quite easy to fix it, but I want you know it, since not everyone can sew and adjust the costume can become quite tricky.

Except for this little inconvenience ( which I'm used to ) I'm really happy with the costume.
The haori has a really nice teal colour and the white "triangular'' parts on the sleeves are made of white fabric, glued to the sleeves instead of being painted or printed on the fabric.

I really like the shinguards and the forearms guards ! They are really well done and I like the fact that they used fake leather to make them. I think is more suitable for an armor part.

It took me a bit to understand how every single part was supposed to be worn, but when you finally understand how to put it on it's a really nice costume especially if you wear it during spring or summer. The lightweight fabric and the simple design make this costume a comfortable cosplay wearable during the warm season. Once again, I had a nice experience with Bhiner and I hope to collaborate again in future.

you can find Okita cosplay here

Thank you for reading bye bye
