Cosplay Sky  sponsored some of my cosplays in the past and this time I'm going to review for you their Astolfo ( Type-moon Racing vr. ) costume.

Cosplay Sky sells costumes, wigs and accessories for cosplay and more over; their store is very well stocked, especially for the costumes, and the quality of their items is really good. As I told you before, this is not the first item I review for them and I can assure you I always had a nice experience with their costumes and wigs. The communication with the sponsor is usually super fast and they always answer me in a polite and helpful way, but I don't know if the actual communication with the store is as fast as the one I got.

The package arrived without problems and in a short time ( around 2/3 weeks). Inside the shipping package the costume was protected by a regular sealed plastic bag. I have nothing in particular to say about this point.

 

The costume is overall nice, but there are some parts that could have been done with a little bit more attention! For example the seams on the gold parts of the costume are a little bit uneven. Since I sew most of my costumes I tend to notice this kind of stuff and they make me cringe a bit ! Not a big deal, but it could bother you a bit if you're a perfectionist or you like clean seams. The costume respect the immages in the website, except for the hat ( which is different from the photos and I had to fix it by myself ). I really appreciated the accessory on the front part of the costume, it's really nice and probably I wouldn't be able to create in such a '' clean '' way, due to its particular shape. It's made of plastic with a fancy string attached on it, it may looks lightweight but it's actually quite heavy.

The jacket is lined in the inside and luckily this time it fits me perfectly, also in my arms area. I really appreciated the fact that it was padded on the shoulders area ! So shoulders looks a bit more large and this gives me a more masculine figure ( if you don't know it Astolfo is a boy) .

 

The black top was a bit large on the underarms area, but since it will be covered by the jacket it's not a big deal ! The only problem with the top was that the zip didn' t reach completelly to the end of the top, so it was a bit tricky to wear it. I decided to sew a new zip to make it more easy to wear ! But you can leave it as it is !

I really like the gold “ Fate/Apocrypha” logo that they printed on it ! It has a sparkly finish that match the top and the shorts' edges ! Really cute !

 

The hat left me a bit disappointed, I must say it arrived a bit flat due to the shipping, so maybe the lost of shape didn't help; but in general it was differently if compared to the images displayed it the website. I strongly suggest you to iron it carefully so it may regain a bit of shape! If you know how to sew you can try to fix it. It also miss the little gold decorations on the front part. I fixed the hat shape and I also added the missing decorations and the gold ribbon on the top of it ( the one you see in these picture is not the original hat ).

 

The shorts are really cute ! I like the gold glittery fabric that has been used on the edges ( you'll find it also on the top's edges and on the stockings ) ! It gaves to the costume a sparkly finish, like an idol costume.

 

Overall I like this costume, it respects the character's dress alot and, except for the hat photo, the images displayed in the website show faithfully the costume.

 

The costume parts are :

•  a black top

• the white jacket

• the black shorts

• a white leather belt

• two black ribbons ( I suppose, you should put them on the wig, but I already had mine )

• a white hat

 

The dress arrived also with a pair of black stockings included, but this type of stockings are always super large for me so I used a pair I already had at home and I added a gold ribbon on them! ( don't get me wrong, the original ones are super cute but I had no time to make them more tight).

When you order your costume you can choose between pre-established size or a costume made cosplay, created in order with your body measurements :D this is a very useful option, and the costume will fit you perfectly.

I really recomend you to visit Cosplay sky's store especially if you're a Fate series fan ! They have a big selection of costumes from Fate and you can find also a lot of interesting cosplay stuff and high quality products from different series .
